CHRONIC ILLNESS THERAPY

Chronic illnesses can take a toll on more than just your body. Managing these conditions can impact how you feel about yourself, your emotions, thoughts, how you interact with others, and much more. We use an empirically based treatment that is goal-oriented and focuses on strategies to meet these goals. We will work together to carve a new path, which can include:

-Processing the changes to yourself and your life, which may include grief of what may be lost

-Strategies to help manage the impact of symptoms

-Working toward activities that are healthy or meaningful for you

-Managing negative emotions and mood in general

-Working toward any health changes needed for your condition

-Stepping toward values that are most important to you

Some chronic illnesses you might be managing could include diabetes, autoimmune disorders, coping with cancer, cardiovascular issues, and many more
